J Balvin headlining el festival de Lollapalooza es solo otro ejemplo that the world of music festivals is evolving. En los 28 años de Lollapalooza, J Balvin será the first Latino headliner in history. Lollapalooza se llevó a cabo August 1-4 and has had Latino artists perform before but never as a headliner, which is what makes this year’s lineup different from the rest. El cantante Colombiano’s performance showed everybody that the festival finally recognizes there’s a large audience in the United States for música en español. Lollapalooza no fue J Balvin’s primer big festival performance. Se ha presentado twice at Coachella. “I don’t just make music for people who like reggaeton,” he told Rolling Stone. “I make music for everybody. I’m down to change people’s minds, I’m down to just refresh the world.”
