Christian Serratos, de 28 años, has been selected to play la leyenda del Tex-Mex Selena Quintanilla in the upcoming Netflix series about the icon’s life. Serratos has previously starred in roles in The Walking Dead, The Twilight Saga, y más.

La serie, simplemente titulada Selena: The Series, contara la historia of a Mexican- American singer who was shot and killed by her manager Yolanda Saldivar in 1995. The 1997 film Selena, also spoke about la joven cantante’s life, and as we all know jump started Jennifer Lopez’s career. La muy anticipada serie will sure enough help Christian’s career as well.

Selena: The Series comenzará producción en Mexico en Septiembre  with Selena’ father, sister and family attorney on board as executive producers.
