On Oct 11 Bad Bunny publicó un video tomando tequila y cantando musica Regional Mexicana. The caption read: “Ready for the PORN HUB AWARDS but TOMORROW begins the X100PRE TOUR in Mexico!! I am ready CABRONES!!!! VIVA LA RAZA!!”

The song was from Natanael Cano, an 18-year-old from Hermosillo, Mexico, who plays corridos tumbados, a variant on the traditional corrido that incorporates hip-hop.La canción “Soy el Diablo,” is about a guy who runs the streets.

Ese video led to a Bad Bunny remix of the track, which dropped Oct. 25.

The collab was first suggested to both parties by Marissa Gastelum, who runs Latin artist relations at Apple Music.

“In September, Noah [Assad, Bad Bunny’s manager] called me and asked me what I thought of this kid,” recalls Gastelum. “He told me Bad Bunny really loves this song ‘Soy El Diablo.’ And I said, wait, lets do something!”
