Despues de ganar el Latin American Music Award para Best Regional Mexican Album con “Oye Mujer,” RayMix platica con Jessica Flores de Cali Mornings. Le cuenta que in his winner’s speech, he took the minute he had para expresarse sobre lo que esta pasando en la industria de la musica en estos momentos. He tols the crowd at the Dolby Theatre that the problem in the music industry es que si no estas tending or with high social media numers, la radio no te toca.
Jessica le encanta the fact that RayMix hace cosas no tradicionales and talks openly about the issues in the music industry. RayMix believes que los programadores de radio deben apoyar all of the music out there, even from unknown artists not just big time artists. He believes que de esta manera la musica sera más diversa. He points out that is the reason Cali 93.9 se llama “Reggaeton y más.”
RayMix hace música with content and that people can feel. He believes que esa es the reason why music was created. RayMix let Jessica know that music no era algo que el queria hacer desde niño. He studied Aerospace Engineering and even did an internship for NASA! La música was just a hobby for him. El vive por el momento and doesn’t know what the future has in store for him, pero por ahorita hace música y disfruta cada momento.
