El reggaetonero Daddy Yankee kicked off the first of his ten Con Calma Pal’ Choli shows at San Juan’s Coliseo de Puerto Rico, where he experienced a technical failure in the middle of the show.
Yankee was on a platform at the top of the coliseum singing “Somos de la Calle” and the platform — which was supposed to descend — didn’t do so during the song.
“Puerto Rico, disculpe, esto es una falla técnica. Se supone que debo estar allí contigo,” he said. He proceeded to offer all attendees a free concert to make up for the bad moment.
