Kobe Bryant, former Los Angeles Lakers shooting guard and five-time NBA champion, has tragically passed away Sunday morning (Jan. 26) following a helicopter crash in Calabasas, Calif. He was 41.

Bryant’s 13-year-old daughter, Gianna, tambien murio en el accidente. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department confirm que no hubo sobrevivientes. He is survived by his other three daughters and his wife, Vanessa.

Following the horrific news, many Latin artists, among them basketball aficionados such as Bad Bunny and Anuel AA, expressed their deepest condolences on Instagram.

“¡Nunca hubiera imaginado que esto me lastimaría tanto! Todavía recuerdo la primera vez que vi un juego de baloncesto, a los 7 años con mi papá, y fue un juego de este genio. ¡Desde ese día se convirtió en mi jugador favorito para siempre! Nunca lo he mencionado porque no necesariamente tiene que ver con la música, pero este hombre ha sido una inspiración en muchos sentidos para que yo sea lo que soy hoy” esbribio Bad Bunny.

Anuel said his hero died and that he was crying with a broken heart. “Dejaste tu marca en el mundo. Que Dios continúe bendiciendo a su familia y les dé fuerzas. Tu nombre vivirá para siempre.
