Jenna Ortega is nominated for best lead actress in a comedy series for her role in the Netflix series “Wednesday.” The current title holder is America Ferrera who won her first Emmy at the age of 23 for her role in “Ugly Betty.”

Ortega is thriving and showing all Latinas they can do it too. She has been acting since she was a child. The role that catapulted her to international recognition was Wednesday Adams from the Netflix comedy horror “Wednesday.”

If Jenna wins she will overtake America Ferrera as the youngest Latina to win a best lead actress Emmy. Season two of the hit Netflix show “Wednesday” is set to arrive mid-2024.
