Congratulations To Our Morning Show Host Angelica Vale – The 2024 Gracie Award Winner

LOS ANGELES, May 28, 2024, The 49th Annual Gracie Awards, presented by the Alliance for Women in Media Foundation (AWMF), have announced that Angelica Vale, morning main host of La Vale Show on Cali 93.9 (KLLI-FM) a Meruelo Media Radio Station, has been named a 2024 Gracie Award winner for Non-English Individual Achievement in Local Radio. This is Angelica’s second nod for Local Radio, a category she dominated in 2022.  The Gracies celebrate and honor the exceptional talent of women in media who have left an indelible mark on the industry, inspiring audiences, and revolutionizing storytelling.

Angelica said, “Arriba las mujeres!… Yes, I am so humbled to once again be recognized by our amazing AWMF friends and take another beautiful Gracie statuette home! More importantly, I’m honored to join the incredible all-women tribe whose contributions make an impact and influence the achievements of all the brave women in media.  Working in media is an amazing responsibility because it provides me a platform to share my narrative and do what I love so much – tell stories and connect with the community through my humor and very personal perspective.  I’m blessed to collaborate with my incredibly talented Cali Family who provide a platform for me and my morning crew to do what we love doing most – learn and laugh together!”

Meruelo Media’s CEO, Otto Padron added, “Angie truly does it all; and I mean all!… as her ‘plus one’ with a unique front-row perspective into our shared life, she juggles so much… her Cali 93.9 morning show; a television primetime show on Televisa-Univision; performing in multiple live musicals here and Mexico; then loves cooking, baking, and raising our 2 precious kids at home.  She’s every woman, a mom, daughter, friend, and wife.”  Otto continued, “Angie is a true inspiration, passionate about her Mexican heritage, a tireless creative machine, and fearless about telling stories that uplift women, the human spirit, and family values – So proud of her and very deserving of this AWMF recognition.”

Angelica is an internationally recognized Mexican actor, comedian, impersonator, radio and television host, and singer. She is the daughter of Mexican entertainer legend, Angelica Maria (aka Mexico’s Sweetheart) and the late Mexican-Venezuelan comedian Raul Vale.

Angelica has been performing since she was 2 months old, appearing in her first soap opera The Miracle of Living with her mother. She has performed in musicals, telenovelas, plays, and on television. She recently starred in the musical production of “Grease” (Vaselina) in Mexico City with the musical group Timbiriche and hosted the reality series “Bake off: Mexico” for HBO Max and “Tu Cara Me Suena” music reality competition on Univision. Angelica has a star on the World-Famous Hollywood Walk of Fame for live theater and has been named by People en Espanol Magazine 4 times as one of “The 50 Most Beautiful.”  Angelica hosts The Vale Show, from 6 am – 11 am on Cali 93.9 (KLLI-FM). She is currently the host of Televisa Univision’s “Voces en Juego” and planning a live musical tour with her mother, Angelica Maria.
